ISAPS, The International Society of Aesthetic Cosmetic Surgery, recently surveyed 15,000 of its members. The survey showed that operative surgery was reduced in most members figures but numbers showed that two thirds of surgeons had seen a 10-100% increase in injectables.
However, nearly half of the respondents had heard negative stories and even a reported death as a result of injectables not being performed safely. Taking this into consideration it's not hard to understand why education of the public is paramount.
