Botox Boosts More Than Skin

Teens_and_Cosmetic_SurgeryA study published in Dermatologic Surgery has found that patients treated with Botox showed an increase in their self-confidence and overall quality of life.

The study, conducted by Chicago-based Facial Plastic Surgeon, Steven H. Dayan, MD, FACS, questioned 100 respondents who were treated with either Botox or a saline placebo for facial wrinkles, and the results showed that patients injected with Botox reported significant improvements in all areas of their lives, from increases in overall self-esteem and appearance to the effect the injections had on their social lives and overall performance.
