Does eating green leafy vegetables protect us from type 2 diabetes?

Green_leafy_VegetablesIn August an interesting article was published in the British Medical Journal about whether eating fruit and vegetables reduces the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The findings of the research, a meta-analysis of six separate studies, seemed to suggest that eating green leafy vegetables (GLV) does indeed reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. To be precise it was reported that eating an additional 122g of GLV is associated with a 14% reduction in risk. Read the rest of this entry »
