Depression Symptoms

The severity, frequency, and duration of depressive symptoms vary from person to person.

Depression Symptoms include:

  • Continued sadness and anxiety, commonly described as empty feelings
  • Feeling of hopelessness, guilt, worthlessness and/or helplessness
  • Pessimism, negative thoughts, or a negative approach towards everything Irritability, restlessness Loss of interest in activities that you once enjoyed.
  • Loss of sexual interest
  • Fatigue and lethargy
  • Difficulty in concentrating, or remembering details
  • Difficulty in making decisions due to confused emotions
  • Insomnia or sleeplessness, early morning wakefulness, a tendency towards excessive sleep
  • Overeating, or a lack of appetite
  • Thoughts of suicide and actual suicidal attempts
  • Constant aches or pains, headaches, cramps, or digestive problems that do not improve with common medications
